Where do we fly in a hot air balloon? The flight area is the Vic plain in the Osona region, Barcelona, it is the closest flight area to Barcelona city, where the Mercat del Ram International Balloon Trophy is held every year. We also fly in a balloon in the Emporda area, just a few minutes from Girona and the Costa Brava. Choose the flight area you prefer when booking and don't worry if you want to change later. Who will be the pilot? Sebastián Fernández, born in Girona in 1970. Pilot since 2006, speaks Spanish, Catalan and English and has more than 1800 hours of experience flying in a balloon around the world (Jordan, Canada, United States, Mexico, Colombia, England, Tunisia, India , Portugal, Morocco, France, among others). How is the balloon? It is a last generation ACCESSIBLE balloon with basket, manufactured by Ultramagic Balloons in ultralast, the best material used for the manufacture of hot air balloons. The basket has two compartments: a private compartment for the passengers and another for the pilot. The door makes flight easier for those who have difficulty accessing a conventional hot air balloon basket.

What is the meeting point? What time? Normally we take off from the sports area of Vic, Barcelona. Check the location of the take-off field. You can only fly once a day, early in the morning, when the weather conditions are more stable. The meeting time varies according to the season of the year, about 6:30-8:00 am. Our team will confirm to the passengers the meeting place and time a few days before the flight.

How to dress to fly in a hot air balloon? We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and footwear according to the season of the year, also a jacket and sunglasses. Heels and sandals are not allowed.

What route does the hot air balloon take? The flight lasts about an hour crossing the sky of the Vic plain, reaching more than a thousand meters of altitude. Sometimes, depending on the weather, you can see the Pyrenees mountains, Montserrat, Montseny, and even Barcelona and the coast. Every flight, every day, an adventure. The wind will decide the route and our 4x4 tracking vehicle will follow the balloon by road to pick up the passengers and the balloon after landing.

These parameters affect all passengers and the Globus Barcelona team:

• We disinfect the basket before and after each flight.
• Passengers must wear a mask throughout the activity.
• Passengers must use the hydroalcoholic gel provided by Globus Barcelona, at least, before accessing the basket.
• Flight material is disintegrated before and after each flight.
• We disinfect our vehicles before and after each flight.
• Passengers claim they have had no symptoms of Covid-19 in the past 15 days.

These measures may vary depending on the new regulations imposed by the Health Authorities.

The maximum weight per person on this flight is 100 kg. Private balloon flight for 2 people over the Vic plain, Barcelona. The amount is not refundable. The flight lasts about an hour, depending on weather conditions and winds. In the event that on the chosen date the flight is canceled by the pilot due to adverse weather conditions, passengers may choose another date to fly in a balloon.

The balloon flight starts gently, without noises and engines, an hour flight approximately that will take you to the sky, sometimes very high such as 1500 meters from the ground, others above the trees, where you can stare what your sight can see. As the balloon cannot be directed, the flight is an adventure each time diferent and exciting. In mid air, carried by the wind, with skin-deep emotions, time flies.

Our ground crew, with whom we have radio contact, we will follow us at all times by road until the ballon lands. When the ballon is folded, the ground crew will take us to the car park. Celebrate the adventure with a toast with cava and the pilot will give you a flight certificate.
